Ok, I'm totally kidding... but for your reference, please take a peek HERE....
Now you may ooh & awe over my "after" pics!
Ready?!
Are you sure?!?!?
Ok.... Before I start, it's hardly like some beautiful craft rooms i've seen, but it works for me & is finally clean & organized! Even though not one piece of wood matches, at this point I just don't care. lol!
First I got rid of about HALF of my scrap booking stuff... When I scrap now, I scrap fairly simple. So I kept some favorites & offered up the rest FREE on Kijiji. A man came to pick it up for his wife & I just received an email with a "very hearty thank-you" attached to it. I guess she's happy. ;)
And another box...
And a few containers of "stuff" as well...
It feels great to have gotten rid of soo much!! Here's the after of my scrapbooking area.
I kept about 1/2 of my paper, about 1/4 of the ribbon I had, and 1/2 the stamps & embellishments I had. I'm not much of a stamper...
Here's the rest of my "stuff".
1. Top shelf is filled embellishments, buttons, adhesives, glue, tags, etc...
2. The next shelf is my Cricut Cartridges.
3. On the floor are my letter stickers, etc.
4. The blue tub on the floor besides the shelf are Prima blossoms.
My desk has been purged & organized as well! On the left is my basket of "to-do" projects. A Willow Tree angel which was a gift from a friend, the only one I have & I love it! :) My "iHome", phone (obviously) sewing machine, & my huge water bottle.
Now my shelf that used to hold my scrap crap....
The top of it holds my patterned scraps, solid scraps, zippers. Oh, and a small stack of gorgeous folded Asian fabrics which only measure about 10x10. Not sure what I want to do with them, but I love them!
Then some of my fabric! The top row are 1/2 yards, the 2nd shelf all FQ'S (Fat Quarters measure at around 18" x 22", so not very big at all, but since I *mostly* sew small projects, it's what I buy 97% of the time! Oh, my thread bucket & my bag of selvages are on the top shelf for now. I've seen really neat projects made with the selvages, so I save most of them!
And my new ($34.99 shelf from Canadian Tire)...
My mini ironing board & iron fit up there perfectly! The top shelf will have fabric on it, the next shelf have arge cuts of fabric on it, I really don't have any big cuts at all, and my "solids", which I don't have much of either. I live for my patterns... :) Then the bottom shelf holds my "Minky" fabric.
In the corner is a bag of batting. I really didn't have anywhere else to put it, but I think it's fine tucked in the corner here. :)
Now, I'm not 100% done, I still have this pile of fabric to roll & pin onto my plastic sleeves...
But I'll be giving all this fabric in the basket & bag away, and I've added a huge bag of batting and a small box of stuff as well!! :) I'll give my BFF a crack at it, then the rest I'll give away on Kijiji again!
Well, I'm beat! It's been a LONG day, besides getting all this done I did some grocery shopping, cooking, housework, kid stuff, cut hubby's hair, etc.. So I'm going to put away my bag of chocolate chips before I inhale the entire bag & get to rolling a bit of fabric before bed! lol! I'll post a pic when I have all my fabric done & it's on the shelf! :)
Back tomorrow!!
