Ok, so our cupboards aren't really *quite* as bare, (nor do we have that awesome wallpaper) but our cupboards are getting close! Our freezer is down to the bare minimum, and now my oldest daughter is sick so I don't think I'll be heading out to do grocery shopping anytime soon. I did grab a few things yesterday, but not all that much, mostly just birthday supplies. On another note, I haven't been to the bank yet either. So after the pizza i ordered in last night for Maria's birthday theres around $16.00'ish left in my grocery budget from last week... lol! Once we buy the milk we're out of that'll be gone as well!
I'm thinking that I'll just make a list of what we have left in the cupboards & freezers, then see what meals I can come up with from there! Off hand I do know we still have a turkey, a pkg. of chicken breasts, a few lbs. of gr.beef, a box of mini chicken sliders, and some misc. pantry stuff... Once I have my inventory list I can plan what we'll be eating for the week!
I'm kind of tempted to try a low/no spend challenge week with whatever money is left in my wallet & see how I do! It's been a while! Whatcha think?! Would anyone else join in?!
What do you do when your "cupboards are bare"? Order in? Eat out? Or scrape by & make do with whatever is in the house?
