Brutal!! I can't seem to keep our hydro use down & our rates are sky high! We're using soo much more hydro than last year & for the life of me I can't figure it out! We went over our "budgeted" amount by $58.13 this month! If we let this sit until next August when we "even out" we're going to owe London Hydro a small fortune!
So I paid our bill in full today but it's going leave this week tight & there won't be any extra money to shove into savings unfortunately. :(
For our family it's hard to keep the usage down because there are 6 of us, and the kids & I are here practically 24/7. There's never really a large period of time when someone isn't here. I do laundry on the weekends or at night, hang up most of our clothes, run the dishwasher late at night, keep the lights off when I can, etc... Not sure what else to do besides going "Amish"! ;)
How are doing with your hydro bills? Are they "too high" as well? How do you keep your bill down? Any tips to share?
