I have a new goal this week:
Set my alarm, wake up & get out of bed at 6:30 every morning.
With a husband who works the night shift, i'm always in bed quite late, which makes it's really hard for me to get up & out of bed as early as I would like. I need my sleep. By waking up at 6:30 every morning, I could read my Bible, work on my devotional & have quiet time to enjoy my coffee in peace before the kids are all out of bed.
I've always "wished" that I could get to bed earlier, which in turn would allow me to wake up earlier & be more productive. However, by the time hubby gets up for work, gets ready & out the door it's already 11:30 or so, which puts me in bed quite late.
Well, apparently my "wish" has been granted, and when God opens a door for you, you thank Him & walk through that door! :)
Hubby has a new work schedule which puts him to work earlier at night & home earlier in the morning. It will allow me to be in bed by 10:30-10:45pm each night. By setting a new habit of going to bed before 11pm each night & waking at 6:30 I would get 7-7 1/2 hrs of sleep each night which is plenty enough for me!
This week i'm setting my alarm at 6:30 and will wake up every morning for my "me" time! I woke up this morning at 6:30 and had a full hour to enjoy my coffee, read my Bible & work on my devotional before Mya was up. I feel refreshed, energized & prepared to meet the day!
6:30a.m. every morning to spend time with my Bible. This is my challenge to myself. Do you wake up early in the morning by choice? Do you find it makes you more productive?
