Aaahhh... sweet memories! Please tell me, do you remember Little Golden Records?! I sure do and I absolutely LOVED them! I used to have all the little 'records' and storybooks and listened to them ALL. THE. TIME. Seriously wonderful memories... *sigh* Just seeing the little "album" photo brings back such special memories! Did you know that Little Golden Records has been producing music and story albums since 1948 and was one of the first to combine story telling with songs!
So, when I was given an opportunity to do a review on a new CD called "The Magic Continues" Volume 1 by A Little Golden Records, well, I jumped at the chance for my girls to experience this wonderful music & stories from my childhood!

Now, the most important factor in this post... do the girls like it?!
They absolutely LOVE IT!! Heck, even I love it! lol! The stories are so well told, and you can just tell that these celebrities reading acting out the stories loved them every bit as much as we did! The girls ask to have this on over and over again, while they play in the background, at bedtime, during meals, etc... They act it out, they play out stories as they listen to them, etc...
It is honestly the very FIRST music & story CD that they both agree on listening to all time! I noticed that there's a Halloween CD out soon and there's going to be a Christmas CD out soon as well!! I'm excited! I think i'm going to pre-order these for the girls because I know they'll love them just as much as they do this CD! These stories & songs are so much fun and so very sweet, definitely a great album for children of all ages!! It's as much a staple in a household with children as Play-Doh is! ;)
Mya's favourite story is "Rapunzel" by Alicia Silverstone and Maria's favourite is "Snow White and Rose Red" by Cheryl Hines. I'm kind of impartial to "Jack and the Beanstalk" by Susan Sarandon! ;)
