Last week I was absolutely horrible with tracking what, and where we spent our budget money. So I embarrassingly don't have much in that way to post today! Sometimes, it gets to be just one more thing on my "to do" list, which I really don't need to add to. ;) We ended up with extra side income so some of that went into the bank & some went towards my new 5th Gen iPod touch! :)
This week we will stay on track with no splurges & no mindless spending. It looks like its going to be a tight week by the looks of it actually. I pulled out $300 this morning for the week and almost 1/3 of it is gone, or will be by tomorrow.
This leaves $200 for the week, so a game plan for the week & menu plan are in order.
So, here's what I have planned out for the week:
BBQ pork sandwiches, perogies, steamed veggies.- Spaghetti, meat sauce, veggies, garlic bread.
- Pot roast, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, buns.
- Grilled chicken sandwiches.
- Hamburgers & fries.
- "Easy Night" - Sandwiches, waffles, pancakes, etc..
Pizza.
We have about 1/2 of this stuff on hand, but will need to grocery shop sooner than later!
Hubby works all week, and I don't have any plans to go very far, so staying under budget should be achievable. Let's hope everyone stays healthy for a while here, so there's no extra medical costs again!!
My goal is to keep all my receipts throughout the week so I can track where we spent our variable income this week, but that seems to be easier said than done.
Do you track your spending? Or just budget & when it's gone, it's gone?
