Thank-you for my new SmartWool socks, Sara! Love 'em!! :)
Maria woke up last night burning up and red as a beet... her fever was just under 104f... she said she was really hot then promptly threw up all over the living room. During this time Mya woke up with her cough really bad, so I had to do the steamy bathroom with her while Maria ate popsicles and watched MythBusters. (she loves that show!) It took a while but I was able to get her fever down and eventually get the girls into bed.
Morgan was up last night with a high fever hacking & throwing up later on last night too... hubby is doing "ok", but not really any noticable improvement yet besides he's not getting sky high fevers, so that i'm grateful for!!
As for me, God knows I have a family to take care of and i'm definitely doing better than everyone else. My chest cough hurts like mad every time I cough and my throat is a little sore, but no fevers and my body aches are gone. So it's letting me be a lot more productive and allowing me to take care of everyone a bit easier. I'm trying to eat a bit here & there as well, so hopefully i'm on the mend!
Today is Day 2 of the meds, so i'm praying that the 2nd dose will help keep fevers away and really kick things into high gear! Please keep us in your thoughts & prayers. :)
On another note, today is my beautiful Morgan's 15th Birthday!
Here she is with one of my moms "Red Hat" hats on at the craft fair... lol! I'll have to share my moms website and hats with you soon.. they're pretty neat!
What a day for her though... :( We had to cancel our night out for now, we have postponed it for a couple weeks (midnight glow bowling/golfing) and there's no cake today, just pretty cupcakes from the grocery store with sprinkles on them. She's such an amazing kid though, she's taking it in stride.
In a couple weeks when everyone is better, we're going to do our fun night out and celebrate as we should have been tonight! :)
*Disclaimer, not counting this in my January challenge...
We have given her a few gifts today that we thought she'd really enjoy...
A set of Hardcover library bound Rick Riordan books... the "The Heroes of Mount Olympus" series. These are 500-600 page books, so they should keep her occupied for a few days! lol!
A silk thread piece of art that I picked up from a local Arts & Crafts sale... isn't it beautiful!? When I have more energy i'll take pics with my real camera... sorry!!
A Terry's Chocolate Orange (Gag!) But she loves them... lol!
We also have one more gift for her when Maria feels well enough to give it to her.... the complete 1st season of 3rd Rock from the Sun. She caught the reruns on tv and now is completely hooked on them.. lol!
Well it's time for everyones 2nd doses of meds... so i'm off to play nurse, take temps, offer snacks, and refill drinks!
Have a great day!! :)
