Noo... not the lottery, silly.. blog awards! Which is even better 'cause it comes from a blogging friend rather than gambling money. lol!!
Thanks so very much to April over at Cash Only Living for these awards! They're pretty ones too! Oooh.. ahhhh...!!! ;)
Without further ado, here are my lovely new adornments...
Not saying that this is 100% for sure... but pretty sure i'm a "cool kid" now... :P lol!

Now I get to nominate 10 other blogs that I enjoy reading and think deserve these wonderful and life changing awards and tell you 7 random things about myself that I haven't already babbled on about yet... ;) Now, as you can see, I have a nice & long blog list over to my right, ---> and really, I enjoy all of them for various reasons, so for now i'm going to ask anyone who wants to play along to please play along, but you have to link me up so I can read the 7 things about you! I love reading random stuff like that! lol!

Now, because I have a hard time playing by the rules, instead of choosing 10 blogs, i'd like to focus on one certain and very special blog of a mother with a little boy who is going through cancer treatments for now... her story pulls at my heartstrings as I also am a mother of 4, as she will be soon. But unlike her, I have never been through the struggles that she has, and my heart breaks for her. I want to help *somehow* and let her know she is not alone!

1.
Trenches of Mommyhood: Elizabeth is one tough momma! Faithful and brave. Her son Jacob, who is a mere 7 years old, is a fighter. Elizabeth is a mother of 3, (soon to be 4) and her precious boy Jacob is going through yet another fight with cancer. The Dr's have all but told her to just "give up", but Elizabeth thankfully refuses to give up hope or lose sight of her strong faith, knowing that God is the Ultimate Healer.
I know she may not see this as she has so much more on her plate right now to worry about, but i'm asking you my friends, if you can please offer up prayers for her family and perhaps pop over to her blog and say a few words to encourage her. I'm sure it would be a blessing to her!
If you're feeling
especially generous, and are feeling led, you can donate financially to help with their extremely high medical & associated costs of Jacobs treatments. I'm sure any amount, no matter how small will be a huge blessing as most know of the high medical costs associated with treatments. You can read more about what
this strong & brave little boy has went through in his short life so far by going to Jacob's Ladder Facebook page. Please click "like" if you'd like updates as they're provided!

7 Random things about me...
- I have a handful of movies that I have watched at LEAST 10x. I kid you not. The Proposal, Elf, Dirty Dancing, A Christmas Story, Bridgette Jones Diary, etc...
- I don't drink alcohol anymore. I used to here & there, but even a drink or two would do me in... once I figured out my allergies it all made sense. Sulphites do me in.
- I'm always cold. Always. lol! Unless it's 30 degrees outside, I wear 2-3 shirts most days. Wool socks, slippers, etc...
- I will never, ever get a tattoo. My husband has both arms covered in tattoos. To each their own. ;) lol!
- I can't say "no" if someone asks me for money on the street. I always keep a toonie ($2.00) and a $5.00 tucked in my pocket when i'm downtown for this very reason.
- When I was a kid, all I ever wanted was a "My Little Poochie" toy. I never got one, and if I ever saw one now, i'd probably buy it. *blush*
- I look horrible in pastel colours. I love them, but look not so great in them. So I tend to stick to the basics, any blue, bright red, kelly green, etc...
And i'm off for the night to be productive once again! Have a wonderful night and thanks so much for stopping by!! :)
