After getting an "almost" full nights sleep, (I was up twice, *sigh*) i'm feeling much more human, which is a good thing because I have a lot going on this weekend! On my list for the weekend is:
Clean out & wipe down fridge Make weekly meal plan Make grocery list 4 loads of laundry washed, dried, put away Buy postage materials (envelopes, packing tape, etc...) Complete Secret Sister handmade gift Send out Secret Sister pkg (all pkgs. should be sent out this weekend if they're not out already!)
- Complete at least 1 item from my order list
Maternity photo shoot & edit photos
- Catch up on emails & clean out inbox & email folders *If you've emailed me recently, expect to hear from me sometime this weekend!! Sorry!!!
- Finish reading book & post review
- Tidy & vacuum living room/dining room
- Scrub down bathroom(s)
- Tidy up sewing table, organize scraps.
- Cut fabric for one order on my custom order list
I think that's more than enough to keep my
crazy busy over the course of the weekend!! ;) lol!! Today i'm hanging out with my BFF for a while, so that'll use half of my day, so I need to be very productive this weekend! Then tomorrow afternoon is the photo shoot, so there's another half a day. So... I have about a day's worth of time to accomplish my list. I must be crazy.
I also wanted to update with this weeks budget! This weeks variable budget after shoving $$ into savings is $240.00, plus we had $37.32 left from last week, so $277.32 for everything from food to fun! I *REALLY* want to focus on keeping our food budget down this week most of all as our freezers are FILLED. I could use some stocking up on pantry items however...
Anything sewing related (materials, postage, etc...) will come out of the slush fund which is where my 'side' income goes. I'm quite happy with our progress on our savings as well!! I figure we have 3 months to bulk up our savings accounts as much as we can before our income drop, so that will be my focus for now! ****
On that note.... I am declaring myself officially on a "fabric diet". Unless I have NO other substitutes that can be used for an order, or a very specific order, i'm "dieting" and will not buy fabric. Ideally this will last 3 months... lol! So, no hobby fabric shopping unless needed for an order. Over the last month I have bought quite a bit of (needed) fabric for orders and finally stocked up on some full yardage fabrics (and purples!!) that everyone is always asking for, so, with any luck i'll have enough in my collection for future orders!
Does anyone else want to go on a "diet" with me for the next while?
Perhaps you want to cut out fast food, stop "hobby" shopping like me, or maybe no new clothes for a few months!
