Meet "Juki".... my newest love...

Guess what got dropped off at my front door yesterday after lunch!? My brand new JUKI TL-2010Q! And it is awesome! I won't mention that it took me 2 hours to get it sewing... I threaded it and rethreaded it, I took out the bobbin a million times, then someone told me about a JUKI group on FB. I joined that, told them my issue and you know what I did wrong?

The thread goes into the needle left to right, not right to left or front to back like every other machine i've used. LEFT to RIGHT. lol! Once I had that done and adjusted the tension a bit I decided to whip up a little project to see how it handled. Well, let me tell you, i'm in LOVE. I can without a doubt tell the difference between this industrial machine and my home quilting Janome QDC 4030 machine. I can see why everyone raves about these industrial JUKI's to be sure!!

Now my Janome has served me well and is still in pristine condition, so i'm selling and it will be going onto its new home this week with a lesson or two beforehand. ;) But for the insane amount of sewing I do, a full metal industrial machine was definitely the way to go!

So far I absolutely LOVE my machine!! If anyone has any questions about the machine, feel free to ask and i'll see if I can answer them. I'm very new to these types of machines, but i'll help however I can! :)

I've squeezed in a bit of time to make 2 pouches so far...

This patchwork mushroom pouch measures in at 5 x 6.5 x 2" and is available for $33.00 ppd/Canada. *US please add $2.00 for shipping.

I've also made a pouch using gorgeous Liberty Of London fabric scraps and a metal zipper! I really want more metal zippers.. just have to find a half decent price on them as they are not cheap!

This patchwork quilted pouch measures in at almost 4 x 8" and is available ***SOLD***

And now i'm going to say goodbye for the day! My brunch is almost ready and we're going to hit Chapters & the grocery store today. Perhaps Michaels for some craft supplies... we'll see how the day shapes up but it's gorgeous (and HOT) so far. "S" leaves on Friday so we need to make the most of this last week with her. :(

I honestly cannot believe how fast an entire month went by... *sigh*

Ok.. i'm off! Have a fabulous day!
