WIP Wednesday

Sorry for the late post today, it's been a busy day and I'm running on empty. I haven't had nearly enough sleep thanks to this pretty girl right here! She has been "singing the song of her people" very early over the last few mornings with absolutely no mercy - so I've been up far too early over the last week. Now look at her all tired... Thing is she gets to sleep all day, curled up in a little ball, soaking up the sun rays, warm & snuggly on the couch. Must be nice... LOL!

Onwards, I'm joining in with The Needle & Thread Network today for WIP Wednesday! Let's see how the last week went...
I received my last FISKARS hexagon punch that I had been waiting for, and it is itty bitty cute!! The smallest punch measures in at 1/2", and makes the sweetest little hexies!

My ring finger is a size 4 for reference... Tiny!!

I also received some gorgeous Japanese florals by Sevenberry! My first Sevenberry fabrics and they are delicate, vintage looking florals. I just love them and think they belong on something English paper pieced!

Now for my WIP's... This is a LONG list and will fill my April...

I have 2 swaps (left out of 5!) on the go right now... This one is for my "Big Stitch" swap... I've been working on hand stitching these 2" hexies together and hope to get the 3 "Briar Rose" panels sewn together tonight while I watch tv.

I'm working on a custom ordered patchwork baby blanket with Organic Cloud9 fabrics, and am currently making a bib to go along with it. If I have enough fabric left I may make a few baby washcloths as well. It'll make a beautiful baby gift!

I'm still working away on my hexies from "The New Hexagon" book but I'm going far slower now as my customs are full and I'm concentrating on my swap work as well. This is block number 12!

I'm going to dig into this gorgeous Liberty of London fabric soon!! I have 3 custom ordered items to create with this - a blanket, an envelope pouch & a mug rug.

The Devil is in the Details...

Isn't that how the saying goes? I've been working on a couple of patchwork pouches from Amy Sinibaldi's "Sweetly Stitched Handmades" and like her amazing work, her patterns have lots of amazing little details, and I added a couple of my own as well. So these little pouches took me a chunk of time, but I do love how they turned out...
The fabric is called "Woodland Clearing" by Robert Kaufman. It's a gorgeous & luxurious Cotton Lawn, and absolutely fabulous I have to say!

Pretty isn't it? I made 2 and both sold quite quickly... I want to downsize a touch and make one for myself now! My customs list is very full though, and I have 2 swaps on the go, so I need to focus on that for now and will put a smaller version of one of these on my "soon" list... ;)

And on that note, I'm off for now again.. I will be back tomorrow with WIP Wednesday however! Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!
