Another pattern release...

Soo, I decided to release my 2nd pattern right after my 1st pattern release! I now have 2 patterns for sale on Craftsy, my "Ruffled Wristlet" and my "Slimline Wallet". Both are doing well and the feedback I've gotten has been wonderful! It makes me very happy that people are so pleased with my patterns and I love seeing what people come up with! I have a few more patterns in mind that I'd like to write up as well, but I'm going to take a little break before those happen.

My customs have slowed down considerably, which has given me time to focus on some of my own projects and writing the above patterns as well! I'm still working away on my quilt and am hoping to have the top together within a weeks time!

Tomorrow I have a custom ordered quilted pencil pouch on my list to complete, then I have an absolutely adorable pattern I'm testing for Lillyella that I'd like (and need!) to start! I need to pull fabrics for that and start on the project I have in mind. I also have a custom order being picked up in the morning and need to get a couple pkg's in the mail by the day's end!

The weather has been fabulous lately so we've been hanging out at the park and splash pad quite often! I hope to go see "Through the Looking Glass" this week with child #2, I don't think my youngest 2 have much interest in this at all, so they'll probably stay at home for this one. The Secret Life of Pets comes out soon and they're excited for that one, so that will be a movie we all go to see together!

We're not going anywhere this summer that I have planned, nor are we hosting a Japanese Homestay girl this year unfortunately. We've decided to take a break this year and just hang out around here. I'm really focusing on our savings, so, a relaxing "hang around the city & see what comes up" summer is on the forecast. I do have a friend visiting from the US which will be fun though, so I'm looking forward to that! Other than this, we'll take in the local festivals, see some good movies, make use of the free splash pads around the city, and hang out at the parks.

Well on that note, i'm off for the night! Enjoy your evening!

Next step... Quilt top!

42/42 heart blocks complete! Fabulous heart block tutorial by "Cluck Cluck Sew"! This week I will figure out sashing and work on that next!

This lovely lady is my sewing partner... She mostly just looks out the window and daydreams, but all the same, she's very "helpful" at keeping me company.

Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for peeking in!

And so it goes...

Well it's almost the weekend... It feels like the end of the week here for sure! I'm exhausted! How is everyone's week going so far?
I spent my morning doing some running around with Miss Mya. We had to do some banking, a few groceries, then I ran into WM to pick up a hose so the girls can play in the sprinkler this week as the temps are crazy hot! Last time I checked today it was 34c with the humidity. Yuck! We also grabbed some sidewalk chalk and a few big bubble wand toys for outside. I did a massive grocery shop last week so literally only picked up a few items this morning and will just grab the odd item as we need it this week.
Then back home to eat and work on getting out a big, fat stack of emails sent out for my Instagram swap, which is getting to be an insane amount of work. With shuffling around partners due to allergies, where people want to, and don't want to sent, then people not waiting for their emails and dropping out, etc... I wonder what in the world I'm doing!? I enjoy swaps, but they are SOO much work! I think my next swap is going to be *very* small and exclusive! Because this is just insane... I don't think I can do it again... Surely I'm insane, right? (No need to really agree with me, I'm quite aware of the answer... LoL!)

This afternoon I sat down to do a bit of sewing & managed to get another 6 heart blocks crossed off of my list! I now have just a small stack left to complete, which I plan on tackling this weekend! It's really coming along well and I'm quite excited to see the top together - which should happen next week! I love this little pile of scraps from the heart blocks that I'm saving! I think I will probably end up making a mini quilt or a runner with them all.. I'm not exactly sure yet, but it will be pretty to be sure! Once I see the size I'll decide from there I figure!

My customs list is pretty clear right now with only 2 orders on my list, not including the quilt above. One of the orders is for an "All-in-One" wallet which I hope to make tomorrow, then the other is a patchwork bag that I have slated to start on Monday. Both orders I have complete freedom with, so they will be fun to work on!
This was my last custom over the last coupld of weeks. I just finished this sweet little 'mug rug' which will be sent onto a new home tomorrow morning! Isn't that sweet little fox just absolutely adorable!?

On Victoria Day the kids and I walked over to the football field to watch some fireworks near us... They seem to have them all around us so we just brought a blanket and our camera and off we went for a while. Since they were in the distance I didn't get a lot of shots, but this one is my favourite out of the few I got! We stayed for a while when I realized I was late waking up Dh for work... Oopsie! LOL!!! Once I realized that we all ran home to wake up Dh. Can't win them all! ;)

The sale of my Ruffled Wristlet pattern on Craftsy is going well, and really started off with a BANG!! I could not be more happy! I have added every penny from the sale of this pattern to our savings account! Yay! I am tracking our budget carefully and focusing on our savings as much as I can! I'm sewing away with my stash and ignoring those fabulous fabric shop sale emails that end up in my inbox for now! There are SOO many fabulous new fabric releases coming out now, and I mostly want them all, but I'd rather see a fatter savings account than try to find room for more fabric at the moment.
