Tis the season.. for theft apparently.

So yesterday morning I received an email telling me that the password for our online banking had been changed and if I didn't change it I should contact my bank right away.

Well lo & behold, I did not in fact change my password so I had to have all of my accounts frozen and card cancelled. Today I had to go into the bank to get a new card issued, look through my accounts to make sure there were no unauthorized charges, then change all the security questions & passwords for online banking & my new VISA debit. At least now they have passwords that nobody will be able to guess 'cause I doubt i'll even remember them! LOL!!!

It literally took me almost 2 hours and numerous phone calls to my bank to fix everything online cause I kept getting locked out of my account, so to whomever decided they were entitled to help themselves to our bank account, well, you know what you can do! I hope karma comes right back at you!

Then on another note, I ordered a couple clothing gifts online and one of them is the wrong size, well the tag says it's the right size, but it measures in quite a bit smaller than the size I ordered, by 3" actually, therefore, it's not really the right size. So I contacted the company (along with pics) asking them to please send a replacement.

However, instead of saying "ok, we can see it's not the right size according to our website and by the photos", the sizing does NOT match up with the tag size, they've decided to check with the warehouse to see what the rest of them measure in at. However, if *their website* says that this certain size measures in at XX", and the one I ordered measures in 3" smaller, I am of the reasoning that they should either:

a) send me a bigger size that will fit, or

b) refund me!

Honestly, i'm really not impressed with them right now and am waiting on their reply. We shall see if they stand behind their service or not...

Now it's after 5pm and i've lost an entire 'work' day because of trying to deal with stuff beyond my control. I just fed dh and my kids, so i'm going to crank some music, and see if I can finish off a custom order tonight to put me back on track!

On that note... it's the end of November and we've had our heat off for the last couple of days because its so mild!! How crazy is that!?!

Ok... i'm off... I need to get out of this mood, lol! Creativity should help!!

Hope your day is going better than mine! *wink*

Patty Sloniger "Bake Shop" Goodness!

Good morning! I have been working away on my customs and decided to "double up" yesterday and sew 2 customs instead of just one... so I now have just 2 more custom orders on my list! Which is a good thing 'cause housework has been neglected and we *still* haven't finished with our Christmas decorating which means there are still bins of Christmas stuff scattered all over our main floor! This needs done TODAY before I lose my sanity. I can't stand the clutter, so it's getting done, and since i'm a day ahead with my sewing, I have time to focus on it now thankfully!
Yesterday I completed a wallet order with a matching keyfob (pics will be up later on today on FB/IG) and decided to get this cosmetic boxy bag crossed off of my list last night as well!
This fabulous fabric is called "Bake Shop" by Patty Sloniger for Michael Miller Fabrics and will be available March 2107 in the shops!! Watch for it at your local quilting fabric shops as it's a fabulous & fun line!! I absolutely LOVE Patty, I "fangirl" all over her fabric lines & creations, for years honestly, (apparently i'm not too bad as she hasn't issued a restraining order against me yet... hahaha!!) so you can imagine my excitement to have received a bundle of this goodness well before it was released to the general public to play with!! *swoon* I have to say as well, that Patty Sloniger & Michael Miller Fabrics are AMAZING to work with!! It's such an honour & so very flattering to be chosen to work with new fabrics!
This is a very large "boxy bag", it measures in at 9 x 6 x 4.5"! It'll hold pretty much everything but the kitchen sink... *wink*

In case you missed what else I made with this gorgeous line... here's a peek at the rest of my creations!

I'm in love... *sigh* Such a cute line! Be sure to grab some when it's out 'cause I have a feeling it's going to fly out of the shops!! Patty won 2nd prize for her booth at the Houston Quilt Market as well - I was so excited for her and happy to have been part of that! Be sure to find her on Instagram to see all the photos she shared! She was even wearing my apron during the show!!

Well, on that note, i'm off to be productive! Enjoy your day & thanks so much for peeking in!

Monday... it has been filled!

"Little Red" keychain made with cork leather!

Good Morning! I can't believe that we're nearing the end of November, and I have to say, It seems to have flown by in a blur! My main goals this month were to be done with my customs and to be finished with my Christmas shopping! I think i'm very close on being able to cross both off of my list for the month!

My customs will be completed on December 1st! Thursday is the last slot I had filled with sewing, so after that order is complete & picked up, I have no more customs on my list! I plan on focusing my efforts on the upcoming Merry Makers Christmas Fair along with a handful of RTS items in case anyone wants to pick up some Christmas gifts throughout the month! Other than that, customs will be on a "do I feel like it basis" for December. I am aiming for a stress free month, so having no customs on my list and my shopping (hopefully) done, that's a big relief on my end!

I think late tonight (depending on my energy level) or tomorrow i'm going to empty out my closet & pull out everything that i've purchased so far to see what, if anything else I need! I just ordered a box of dark chocolates from Purdys this morning for Gma, we need to pick up a G.C for my FIL and I need to make a few gifts. I may need a few more stocking stuffers, but other than this, i'm pretty sure that i'm done and will definitely be sure to have everything crossed off my list by December 1st!

Last night I sat down with my "Happy Planner" and planned out the last few days of November, and as I figured, they 'runneth over', but tis the season for everyone I think!

Today I have list ready to go which consists of the following:

  • Housework - Lots of it, but so much clutter from Christmas decorating, since we're in a smaller house we don't have as much room as we used to, so we're picking & choosing what to display this year! So we need to finish decorating and put the rest back in the basement. Then the 'usual' stuff needs done, bathrooms, sweeping, dusting, etc...
  • Local pick-up at 10:00 am for sewing/custom.
  • Laundry - I have a load waiting to be folded & put away.
  • Sewing - NCW & a matching keyfob. *Note to self: Print shipping label on Paypal!
  • Banking - I need to even out our accounts, move $$ from PP to my bank account, and see if I can tuck some $$ into savings. Since I put my savings on hold in October while I shopped for Christmas my savings accounts haven't seen any love. I hope to add a chunk of change today after I figure out the last of our Christmas shopping!
  • Budget - I need to whip up a new budget for January onwards. Our rent is increasing by $50.00/month (*sigh*) so I need to account for that... and I need a new timeline for house hunting as well! I'd still like to add more to our down payment, (another $5K would be awesome) but I don't know that I want to stay here until all of my savings goals are full either. Why are these decisions so hard!?
  • Canada Post run - I have a big pile of pkg'es that need mailed out today, however I'm hoping that child #2 will run out for me so I can stay home and work on my 'to do' list. Running to the post office will take an hour out of my day and I have so many things that I could do with that hour instead.
  • Make my sewing list for the Merry Makers Christmas Fair. I have a new plan in mind for this one, just need to get it down on paper and figure out how much sewing per day I need to do in order to accomplish it!
  • Continue working on custom epp hexie pouch. *This is my evening sewing project as it's the perfect "slow sewing" project for evenings!

I think that covers most of my list for today... and the younger 2 kids are up so I should feed them and get my day in motion! The joys of hs'ing means no rushing around like mad while trying to shuffle them out the door at 7 am... they can sleep when they need it! It's a good thing! Love my having my kids home with me!

Anyways, have a fabulous day!!

How was your November?

Did you accomplish all you had hoped?
