43 Things About Me... on my birthday!
I'm ready...

It's been a busy week...

Today has been a very long day... this morning we did the girls HS'ing, this afternoon I had running around to do (Canada Post, Pet Store, Grocery Store, etc) then back home to clean out the fridge, put away groceries, make dinner, and start in on my customs list for the day. It's 11pm and I just finished my work for today, although I didn't get much in the way of housework done. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!
Speaking of tomorrow, I need to cut Dh's hair in the morning, I have a few customs on my list for the day, I'm out in the afternoon with my bestie for a bit, then I'm taking the weekend off to do some selfish sewing! With a full customs list I feel like I need some time to be creative and do what I want to do for a bit! I honestly have no idea what I'll tackle, but I do know it'll be something that I choose!
On Tuesday I went to KnitStitch again to do some "birthday shopping", and that I did... *blush* Suzanne always has such a fabulous selection of fabrics and it's probably best that I don't live too close to her awesome shop! Hahaha!! I found some brand new Carolyn Friedlander fabrics, gorgeous new Japanese KOKKA linens, some pretty purples to add to my stash, and some other prints that I simply couldn't live without... *wink* That being said, I did quite well, and Suzanne being the uber awesome woman she is, gave me a special "birthday discount"! Thank-you, again!!
If you're in my area, you really do have to stop by her shop, it's just so very wonderful!!

I've been slaving away at custom orders all week and managed to make a nice dent in my list, but I still have a fair amount of orders ahead of me... once I get a few orders knocked off my list tomorrow I'll write up a new list for next week and see how that goes!

On my customs list as of this moment I have:

  • 3 Slimline Wallets - 2 in cork, 1 in a special Spoonflower print
  • 1 Mini slimline wallet
  • 17 "Simple" pouches
  • 1 Boxy pencil pouch

These fun Polaroid blocks are from a fun little Instagram swap I joined... I think I've received most of the envelopes I've been waiting for now, probably just a couple more to arrive then I think I'm going to make them into a pillow cover or something fun!

See this amazing Totoro!? This is one of the best gifts I received this year, my sister made him for me, and I love him to bits!!! I'm a huge Studio Ghibli fan, and Totoro is just the sweetest creature I think! I also received a Totoro painting this year from child #2 and I'll share a pic of it soon too! It's amazing!!

And that beautiful bundle of goodness beside Totoro is my last "hoorah" for a while, as I'm on a self-imposed Fabric diet. For those wondering, it's Kate Spain's new "Grand Canal" line and it is so gorgeous! I need to pull it apart and share pics still! But i'm not ready to share it yet... lol!

Anyways, back to my 'fabric diet'... My goal is to buy NO new fabric until April 1st, but honestly, if I can stand it, I should restrict myself until after the Spring Merry Makers Fair in early May. It's really not that long, and I am pretty sure I won't be running out of fabric anytime soon... haha!

On another note, I too love to support other WAHM's, so when I saw this precious Heather Ross "Sleeping Beauty" coin purse made by my IG friend, Lisa @FairyArtful - I had to have it for my own personal spending cash, not that I have any right now after my shopping trip this week... hahaha!! It's a nice size too, absolutely adorable and so very well made! I want to get some of these purse clasps sometimes and make some of these! But for now they're on my "someday" list...

And with this, I'm done for the day... I need sleep. I hope everyone is enjoying their week... I shall return soon!
