An Ocean walk kind of day...

I have decided that a long walk around the ocean shore is just the absolute best way to end a long day...

Some things in life are just meant to be, the fate is in our stars.

I hadn't intended on going to the ocean today as it had rained for most of the day, I'm running on just a few hours of sleep, and my stress level has been at an all-time high. Last minute though I decided why not... a walk to the ocean may just be what the doctor ordered. Especially since I hadn't been yet and Dh leaves for TO tomorrow with child #2 for the week.

Tonight I met an older man on the beach who stopped me to chat for a while. He knew exactly what I've been feeling & exactly what I needed to hear. Everything I've been feeling over the last couple of weeks he had insights & a life story for, without my even saying a word about my life, my worries, or why we were even here. It was really amazing to be honest. We stood on the beach together and spoke for 15 minutes or so, I learned that he was a widow, an engineer in his time and his wife had been a school teacher. Apparently my husband had saw him on the beach the other night with the kids and he told them what footwear is the best for the beach.

He had so much wisdom to share with me, I really am grateful that I was meandering along the beach behind everyone and he stopped me to chat. And I'm especially thankful that I took the time to talk without worrying about time... to just be.

Sometimes, t's a good thing to go at your own pace and just "be".
