The kids were sooo excited that Halloween ended up being such a beautiful day here on Cape Breton Island! We had lots of sunshine and a high of 16c today, so a light sweater was perfect for Trick or Treating tonight, which made both girls gloriously happy!
Maria chose to be a vampire and Mya was Cinderella.
Maria has her fangs in here but they're not showing which is why she has the Austen Powers mouth look happening here... hahaha!!
We had a fair amount of trick or treaters here tonight and I can't decide if my favourites were the teenagers who DROVE up to our house to trick or treat or the 50 year old woman with the raspy voice and the garbage bag FULL of candy, with absolutely no kids in tow. It's a tough choice...
The kids are now home enjoying their candy, well, Mya is enjoying it, Maria only eats the odd treat here & there. I promised Mya a later bedtime tonight so she has a bit longer to enjoy the afterglow of her first Halloween in Nova Scotia.
We just turned off the lights outside as Halloween hours are 5:30-7:30pm here, so I'm ready to relax tonight. Fireworks are going off like crazy which is absolutely hilarious but apparently is a "regular" thing out here for almost every occasion. THe kids are game anyways... lol!
Well on that note we've been waiting to watch Stranger Things tonight so we're going to watch an episode or two before bed! I hope everyone has a happy & safe Halloween!!
