And with that, I did it!
Life is good...

Hello Monday! A look back at the last week...

***

It's a soft & snowy Monday, with fluffy little flakes of sky falling from the sky. I have declared today a pajama day for myself as I have a tonne to get done this week and having a very productive Monday would be a good thing! So I am wearing my Roots onesie and have absolutely no intention of changing out of it! Warmth & comfort & productivity!

Last week was a busy week, which is a good thing I've come to realize. Not so busy that I'm pulling out my hair or anything, but being on the go and getting back into a schedule & routine makes me happy!

A few things throughout the week...

We went to Masonville to pick up eyewear which was ordered and came in, a haircut and some running around. I took for granted just how easy it is to get anything & everything you need here! It's such a good thing to know that if I have a list of items on hand I need, I can get them in town, quite easily without having to spend a fortune on cabs or wait a few hours for the next (one) bus. As much as "small town living" appeals to me, I have definitely learned that I'm not really a "small town" girl like I was when I was 16. Moving to London when I was 16 is the best thing could have happened in my life! So thanks for dragging me here against my will, mom... hahahaha!!

Ok, let's see what else happened last week! I received my first 'Thirty-One' order of a thermal tote which I think is just the best thing ever! My friend out east had a stack of these and always shared with me when we went shopping, I knew I wanted one for myself, so when they went on sale, I grabbed one! Chester approves as well as you can see... lol!

Child #2 has a pulled muscle and I tried to help by purchasing some regular strength RobaxAcet. Bad move. Bad reaction to the OTC drug (pre-seizure like symptoms!) & we ended up in the ER having to get a brain scan done!! Brutal. I'll never buy this muscle relaxer again... I'm sure it's all good & well for many, but I won't be purchasing ever again. All is well, but it was scary.

We also made it downtown to the Grand Theatre for the first time since we've been back with the kids to see "Silence" which is an absolutely beautiful & heart-wrenching story. It was another amazing performance and I'm so glad to be home again and able to take in live theatre again! If I spend money on anything it's live theatre/concerts and pretty fabric. I can pinch my pennies with everything else, I don't need extra shoes or expensive purses, but live theatre is incredible and it makes me happy that my kids love it as much as I do! I can't imagine life without it...

I brought out some new items with a gorgeous sparkle & glitter fabric! I purchased a handful of colours to try out and by far the most popular 2 are the rose gold & silver as shown. I have a handful of orders which need done soon, but first I need to purchase a couple handfuls of matching zippers!! It's not the easiest thing to sew with but the results are simply outstanding! So gorgeous for an evening out & weddings!!

*If you're interested in either of these items please PM me on my Facebook page or send me an email!

I received my new chair from Wayfair, which is sooo comfortable, I absolutely LOVE it! I love the crisp white as well, I'm really not a "black" person, so this one is right up my alley! I put it together in 15 minutes and it was good to go! It is far better than using a kitchen chair to sew, especially with long hours and shuffling the chair back and forth to my machine to my cutting area!

This little boy is absolutely a handful, but oh sooo sweet & loving! He tears around the house getting into everything & anything he can find, he terrorizes the Queen (and us) but then he's the exact opposite as well. He'll walk up to us and give us kisses, nuzzles and simply want to be held. He's just the sweetest little thing and makes us all so happy! He's getting soo big! He had shots last week and a check-up with a booster in 2 weeks then neutering in 3 weeks. My poor boy doesn't know what's coming... eek!

Looking forward this week, it should be quieter and I should have more time at home. "Should" being the keyword. My sewing list "runneth over" and I'm hoping to work on a few RTS items as well, so more time at home is needed.

On that note, I need to get some people breakfast here and start my day! Have a wonderful Monday!!
