Well, there goes my day...

Thursday Things...

My handsome boy watching the leaves fall in the yard... lol! He’s getting SO long, and while his paws are huge, these photo makes me laugh ‘cause he has wee little legs and his torso is soo long! He’s still a little hellion, but he makes me laugh every day! The poor Queen does not feel the same way, I would be LOTS of money that she will never warm up to him. Oh well... you can’t win ‘em all!

So today the girls and I went to visit grandma with birthday gifts in tow! Now she’s turning 97, so obviously is not “in need” of anything, so we got her some favourite treats... specialty dark chocolate & praline nuts, which I know she’ll enjoy! We ended up cabbing to & from, which cost me a little chunk but the buses to and from are horrible and take about 1 1/2 hours or so just to get to & from whereas a cab is 15 minutes tops. I figure it’ll even out in the end.

I’d like to get over more often to visit, so I think about every 1 1/2 weeks i’ll set aside $ for cabs, and head on over for a while. Next time i’ll bring a board game and snacks/lunch for the kids so we can stay longer than a couple of hours. Since the kids are at home, and I work from home, thankfully I have the freedom to choose my days off.

After Grandmas we popped into Giant Tiger for some odds & ends, cabbed home, I fed everyone, and finished up hand binding the sides of the Sew Together Bags that i’m working on. I have zippers to finish them off now, so i’m hoping to have them complete tonight! One is a custom order and the other will be RTS. They are “fully loaded” with gorgeous Sevenberry & Liberty of London prints... I think they’re simply awesome!!

I’m not going to get a whole lot else accomplished today i’m afraid, but i’m ok with that! I’m happy that we made it over to see grandma, the girls are happy and that’s what matters in the end.

I may be heading out again tonight to do more shopping (Christmas & whatnot), but we’ll see what happens. Ideally i’ll be home to sew, but I don’t know. I do know that I need to start hustling so i’m well prepared for the Merry Makers Fair in November! I have hardly nothing ready yet and am still working on the last of my customs and other odds & ends. Come Monday, i’ll have my game face on though and ready to start crossing lots off of my sewing list!!

On that note, i’m going to head down to my sewing room and work on these Sew Together Bags! Sorry for the lack of blogging, I have accepted that I will never have enough time to “do it all”.

‘Tis life...
